Middy Carp Blue S4

The Carp Blue range of high-class pole floats from Middy is based around the original Carp Grey floats designed by Match This champion Rob Wootton. Available in four models from Series 1 to Series 4, each in sizes 4x10, 4x12, 4x14 and 4x16, all made in the UK from AA grade soft balsa. The Series 1 has a nitinol stem and 1.5mm hollow tip, allowing for more of a finesse presentation for silverfish or carp as the colder late-autumn weather arrives. The Series 2 also has a nitinol stem but a thicker 2mm hollow tip and is therefore better at suspending slightly bigger baits and can be seen at further distances. The nitinol stem on the Series 1 and 2 models gives the floats more stability and helps them settle quicker. The Series 3 has a 1.5mm hollow tip and a carbon stem - it is ideal for summer sessions where fish are taking bait on the drop, because the carbon stem allows the float to gently settle into the water. The 1.5mm tip also helps to register sensitive bites. Finally, you can easily change to a Series 4 when bites are prolific or you want to use bigger baits during baggin sessions, because it is essentially the same as the S3 but with a thicker 2mm tip, meaning you do not need to change the shotting.
