When the first TDR was introduced in 2006, it was an immediate hit. Anglers were just amazed by the power and smoothness of the performance.

Three prior TDR families—including the introduction of the first 4012 size in 2014—have upheld that reputation. The 4012 still recovers 87 cm for every handle turn nowadays.

The drive and pinion of the 24 TDR series remain precisely aligned when rotating under stress because they use the AIRDRIVE Design and are still constructed with an aluminium body. When this is paired with Digigear II and 7BB, the overall smoothness is superior.

The ultra-secure, wind-on handle, which is still one-touch folding, offers an absolute first in match and feeder reels. By ensuring direct gearbox to the drive gear, the maximum amount of power is delivered.

The AIRDRIVE Rotor and AIRDRIVE Bail both contribute to the power and smoothness. The improved spherical shape of the rotor precisely displaces load, and the lighter yet stiff Zaion V material ensures that it moves with minimal lag, resulting in even higher reel winding responsiveness. Furthermore, the 24TDR reels weigh up to 25g less than their most recent predecessor because to the weight savings provided by the AIRDRIVE Rotor.

Contemporary features like the QD Quick Drag and HIP line clip help with fish play and distance control, and the full specification spare spool completes the float and feeder setup.
